The Leica IIIg is a Leica 35mm rangefinder film camera designed to accept M39/LTM screw mount lenses. The IIIg was the last M39 screw mount camera produced by Leica, released a few years after the launch of the M system and was thus able to incorporate some of the technological advances made with the M3 such as a much larger primary viewfinder with suspended framelines for 50mm and 90mm lenses that were coupled with the rangefinder for parallax adjustment.
Of all of the standard-production screw mount Leica models, the IIIg had the lowest total production number; due to this and the more advanced features the IIIg is highly sought after among LTM enthusiasts.
